THE Department of National Unity and National Integration has commended Lincoln University College (LUC) for its active role in implementing the Sekretariat Rukun Negara (SRN).

The Director of the Social Integration Division at the Department, Fairojibanu Zainal Abidin, stated that the various events held by LUC’s SRN demonstrate a high level of activity and engagement.

“I would like to commend the active role of LUC in the programs under the Sekretariat Rukun Negara,” she said.

The SRN was established in 2009 under the Ministry of National Unity with the main objective of instilling and strengthening the spirit of patriotism among university students.

Fairojibanu was one of the panelists at the Rukun Negara Town Hall 2025, held in conjunction with the 68th National Day at the Auditorium Wisma Lincoln today.

Other panelists included LUC Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Datuk Dr. Mohd Yusoff A. Bakar, and Superintendent of Community Coordination from the Department of Crime Prevention and Community Safety of Bukit Aman, Superintendent Mohamad Ra’ayim Jemakir.

The town hall was moderated by Selamat Pagi Malaysia host, Mohd Ismail Adnan. The event was officiated by the Pro-Chancellor of LUC, Prof. Datuk Dr. Bibi Florina Abdullah. Also present was the Advisor of the Sekretariat Rukun Negara for Lincoln University College, Mohd Nikmat Wahib.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mohd Yusoff highlighted that the three core components crucial to the SRN’s success are students, academic staff, and the institution’s administration.

“We encourage students to get involved in various programmes under the SRN, especially given the strong participation from the LUC community,” he said.

Superintendent Mohamad Ra’ayim Jemakir encouraged students to adhere to the principles of the Rukun Negara in their daily lives to strengthen their spirit of patriotism.

He also suggested that LUC establish a Crime Prevention Club for the benefit of the university community.
